Received an email not long ago asking me to come on board as a FebFast ambassador for 2017. Decided to give up chocolate, coffee and alcohol. Replied to the email, then walked into the kitchen and made Affogato Icy Poles aka Coffee and Alcohol. Will probably eat them with a piece of chocolate. Ha.

Amazing how we humans feel momentarily that we might be deprived of something so do everything in our will to get our hit before it happens isn’t it? And I’m not even THAT fixated on any of the above. Everything in moderation is my philosophy in health and maintaining that balanced approach has been an important evolution in my own health and that practice I encourage with others too. So I’m going to enjoy one of these wicked pops and share the love too then come Feb 1st or even just come tomorrow they will be well and truly out of my system. Good times.

PS. Be sure to keep these well and truly separate from the kids ones.

AFFOGATO ICY POLES

Makes 6 small icy poles

1/2 cup strong plunger or espresso coffee

3 tablespoon maple syrup

1/3 cup greek yoghurt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 heaped tablespoon cashew butter (opt : almond butter)

1 shot frangelico

Blend and freeze over night in icy pole moulds.
